Springfield Motel has very few terms and conditions, and most are based on standard hotelier procedure. We are a small business which prides itself on flexibility and understanding of individual needs. If you have any comments, suggestions or queries about these, please contact us.
1. Where a guest makes a booking, he/she is entering into a verbal contract under which Springfield Motel has the right to reclaim lost revenue where guests do not take up their booking. A nightly charge will be made against such guests. If a deposit has been paid, this will be retained. Deposits may also be retained in situations where guests have booked for three or more days, and cancel within 72 hours of the commencement of stay. It is the responsibility of guests to contact us immediately when they know there may be a problem with their booking.2. Springfield Motel requires guests to settle their accounts in advance by cash or guaranteed cheques in pounds sterling. Where accounts exceed the guarantee limit of their card, guests will issue several cheques therefore guaranteeing the whole amount. If guests, on arrival, do not have sufficient funds for that week's booking, the booking will be cut to the equivalent value, in nights, of the available funds, until further payments are made. A guest may re-book the cancelled nights, but a deposit may be necessary.
3. The period defined as 'letting period' begins at 4pm on the day of arrival and ends at 10am on the following day. All subsequent letting periods in a booking will follow a 4pm - 10am cycle. If the stay finished on the following day, all items must be removed from the chalet by this time. Guests may use their chalet during the day, but will need to vacate during cleaning or other maintenance.
4. Springfield Motel operates a no-smoking policy in all indoor areas, in line with the 2007 'Smokefree' legistlation. Detection devices are used to uphold the rule. Any guest which has been found to have smoked in any indoor areas, including chalets and bathroom, will be asked to leave. A refund will not be paid as breaking this rule constitutes a clear violation of the terms and conditions. Furthermore, any guest who causes a nuisance to other guests may also be asked to leave.
5. Any damages to the furniture, fittings, carpets, linen and towels in chalets will be paid for by the guest responsible to the equivalent replacement value.
6. Property and cars left on the premises remain the responsibility of the owner. Guests must ensure that they make sure chalets doors and windows are locked before leaving. Guests who mislay their keys have a responsibility to immediately inform reception in order to have locks changed. There will be a charge for this to be paid by the responsible guest.
7. In exceptional circumstances, guests may be asked to change rooms.
8. Guests wishing to pay by business cheque, should phone to confirm that payment will be made in this manner. We ask that you also enclose a compliment slip from your business with the cheque.
9. Springfield Motel reserves the right to cancel any booking, to refuse entry or terminate any period of stay. Where it is deemed the responsibility of Springfield Motel, a refund will be paid for lost nights of stay. Where it is deemed the responsibility (through breaking the aforementioned terms) of the guest, a refund or full refund may not be paid.
10. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
